Taxi Fire Extinguished On Bishop Spencer Road

The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a vehicle fire at approximately 1.30pm this afternoon [July 17] on Bishop Spencer Road near the junction with The Glebe Road.

We understand the taxi driver escaped without injury and was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the blaze. The fire, which appeared to be concentrated in the engine compartment, was quickly extinguished by attending firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. A Fire Service investigator attended the scene.
