Bermuda Go Down Again In CFU Championship

The Bermuda Women’s National team continues competing in the Caribbean Football Union [CFU] Women’s Championships in Trinidad and Tobago, this time going down 5-1 to Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico took the lead in the 12th minute when Karina Socarras scored, three minutes later it was 2 – 0 when Zahimara Fantauzi, headed in from close range. Bermuda got back into the game with a goal in the 30th minute from Richardson, but three minutes later Socarras scored again to make the score 3 – 1.

The second half saw Bermuda create several chances, but it was Puerto Rico who scored first, Socarras completed her hat-trick with a third goal in the 76th minute. Mary Aquino made it 5 – 1 with a goal ten minutes later as Puerto Rico come away with a 5 – 1 victory.
