Photos & Video: Weather As Hurricane Nears
[Updated with video] Hurricane Cristobal is presently churning away in the Atlantic, located some 366 nautical miles west of the island, with the storm carrying maximum sustained winds near 80 mph [130 km/h] with higher gusts.
The latest update from the Bermuda Weather Service today [Aug 27] said that Hurricane Cristobal’s closest point of approach to Bermuda is forecast to be 259 nautical miles to the north-west at 5.00am on Thursday.
The photos below — taken at locations including John Smiths Bay, Watch Hill Park, Elbow Beach, and Astwood Cove — were taken today, less than 24 hours before the storm is due to reach its closest predicted point to the island.

If they are prepared to go in the water when having been warned not to, no one should be putting their life at risk to rescue them……..period!
