Reggie Lambe Makes Debut In Mansfield Win
[Updated] After receiving his international clearance yesterday, Bermuda’s Reggie Lambe made his debut for English League Two side Mansfield Town today [Sept 20], coming on in the 74th minute of today’s 3-2 victory over Carlisle United.
Mansfield had a 3-0 lead by the 41st minute, however Carlisle pulled one back in the 62nd minute and then scored again in the 71st minute to pull within one. Neither team found the back of the net for the remainder of the game, and Mansfield walked away with the 3-2 victory.
The 23 year old Bermudian signed for Mansfield Town earlier this week, after stints at Ipswich Town, loan time at Bristol Rovers, Toronto FC in the North American MLS, and a three-month spell at Nyköpings BIS in Sweden.
Bermuda’s Nahki Wells was also in action today, with his Championship side Huddersfield Town losing 3-0 to Leeds United at Elland Road.
Update: Shadow Sports Minister Michael Weeks commended Reggie Lambe for his English Football debut with Mansfield Town, saying to “our young men who aspire to careers in football, you are a living example of how hard work can produce winning results. Best wishes on what we hope will be a long and successful career.”
