“Art of Life” To Get Underway At Arts Centre
The Bermuda Arts Center is getting set to host “Art of Life,” with the show highlighting “life itself” and the “art of living.”
The show opens today [Jan 11] from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, with wine and food to be on hand.
A spokesperson said, “The show revolves around life itself and what our member artists perceive to be involved with the art of living. A skip in the park, sharing a milk shake with your loved one, a quiet walk with your dog, dancing up a storm. Our artists have come back with an array of interpretations in all media.”
“In keeping with the lighter side of life, and also because we consider bakers to be fine artists, we are holding our “Sweet Potato Pudding Competition” as well. Six artists will be mashing sweet potatoes and other secret ingredients to pull together their most impressive pudding to enter into the competition.
“The contestants are battling for a gift basket worth $250 and also the prestigious Sweet Potato Pie Award of 2015.”
“Because roses are in an art class by themselves, particularly our own Bermuda Roses, we are excited that the Bermuda Rose Society will also be in attendance. Calendars, books and potted roses will be on sale. They will also be there to offer tips and suggestions about roses that you may already have.”
