Photos: Bermuda vs Guatemala Football Game

The Bermuda National Football team took on Guatemala this evening [June 15] in front of a large crowd at the National Sports Centre, with the game ending with Guatemala winning 1-0, and advancing to the third round.

This marked the second match-up between the two teams, with the first game taking place in Guatemala on June 12th, and ending in a 0-0 draw. This evening’s game was a ‘winner takes all’, with the match winner set to advance.

Bermuda’s starting lineup saw Nahki Wells remain out with an injury, and Dale Eve starting in goal, with the full lineup including Bather, Harvey, Ming, Bascome, Lewis, Leverock, Bean, Lambe, Smith and Ming.

Tyrell Burgess replaced Drewonde Bascome in the 48th minute, Angelo Simmons replaced Ming in the 61st minute, and Rai Simons replaced Jonte Smith in the 69th minute minute.

Stefano Cincotta Giordano scored for Guatemala in the 25th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. While both teams had shots on goal during the rest of the match, neither scored for the remainder of the game.

Guatamala’s victory this evening sees them advance to the third round in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifying campaign, while Bermuda will bow out.

      Leave it to Bermuda, don’t have a clue about nothing.
      Had to sell my ticket after missing 20 min of the game, next time ill just stream online to save the aggravation.
