Police Seeking Female Suspect After Stabbing
[Updated] At approximately 6.00pm this evening [Jan 10] a woman was stabbed in Devonshire, and police are currently looking for a 21-year-old woman who fled the scene.
Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: “At about 5.35pm, police and first responders attended a report of an incident at Cedar Park in Devonshire.
“Details are sketchy at the point, but the victim, a 24-year-old woman, was stabbed. A 21-year-old woman then fled the scene and police are currently looking for her in the surrounding area.
“Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information about this incident, particularly residents in the Cedar Park, Frog Lane and Prospect areas, to please contact police on 205-0011.”

Update 7.02pm: Unofficial reports suggest a car with multiple women in it came into the area and an altercation ensued.

Update Jan 11, 12.02pm: A police spokesperson said, “The 21-year-old female suspect involved in the stabbing incident that took place last night at Cedar Park is still being sought by police and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is now underway.
“Police are still interested in talking with anyone with any information and anyone with information should call the Central Investigation Department on 295-0011. It should be noted that the victim’s injuries do not appear to be serious in nature.”
Update 12.22pm: The police added that the “24-year-old victim has been discharged from the hospital.”
