BBC News: Shake-Up At Mariners Club

April 1, 2016

[Written by Adrienne Smatt, Bermuda Broadcasting Co.]

Bermudians Stefan Gitschner and Somers Carr grew up abroad but came back to Bermuda to make their living.

After gaining experience as far afield as France, the two entrepreneurs got together to create the ‘Twisted Spoon Cocktail Company’ and have recently taken over management of the Mariners Club.

The co–owners have extensive backgrounds in the hospitality industry and say they really like to “make delicious drinks for people”.

Their company can craft cocktails for a particular event or to satisfy a customer’s specific preference. They say, “tell us what you like and we’ll do the rest”.

Note: Bernews is temporarily helping Bermuda Broadcasting Company by sharing its stories online. The station’s TV equipment is undergoing repair after being hit by lightning.
