53-Yr-Old Woman In ICU After Being Hit By Car
[Updated: Police said a 53-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was hit by a car, and she is listed in critical condition in the ICU.]
At approximately 11.40pm this evening [April 12] there was a collision on Mullet Bay Road in St George’s, and it appears that a woman has been injured.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel are currently on scene, and traffic is being restricted in the area. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 12.05am: The ambulance has left the scene, with siren blaring. Traffic had been getting backed up, and the police allowed a line of one way traffic through.
Update 12.58am: Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said, “Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Mullet Bay Road and Rocky Hill Park at 11:33pm on Tuesday evening.
“It appears that a 53-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was hit by a car that was traveling west.
“The woman was taken to the hospital where her condition appears to be very serious. The area is presently cordoned off and traffic is at a stand still whilst the scene is being processed.
“As Mullet Bay Road is the only Road that leads into the The Town of St. George and beyond, motorist are asked to be patient as officers commence their investigation.”

Update 10.05am: Mr Caines said that as of this time, the woman is listed in critical condition in the ICU.
Update 6.00pm: The police said that as of 5:15pm, the woman was listed as “critical but stable” in the ICU.
