Collision Involving Motorcycle & Pedestrians

[Updated] Police and first responders were dispatched to a “report of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and two pedestrians” on North Shore in Hamilton parish this evening [May 28].

A police spokesperson said, “Serious collision Northshore Road, junction with Studio Lane Hamilton Parish. [Shelly Bay stretch]

“Around 5:50pm this evening [28-May] police and first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and two pedestrians.

“Details are limited, however all three parties involved have been conveyed to KEMH for treatment of their injuries. At least one of the pedestrians, an elderly male, is believed to have suffered a head injury. The injuries of the other two parties is not known at this time.

“Traffic along Northshore Road is expected to be disrupted for the next several hours. Motorists are advised to divert to Harrington Sound Road.”

Update 8.05pm: A BFRS spokesperson said, “A call was received by BFRS dispatch reporting a road traffic collision, bike vs pedestrian on Shelly Bay Stretch. BFRS responded with three appliances and a total of eight personnel.

“On arrival fire crews saw three patients, two pedestrians and one motorbike rider lying on the ground. Medical care was rendered to all three patients by fire and ambulance EMT,s then transported to hospital via ambulances from KEMH.

“The cause of the RTC is under investigation by Police.”
