Traffic Disruptions Expected On South Rd, Paget

May 26, 2016

The Ministry of Public Works is advising that repairs are currently underway to fix a section of badly broken concrete sidewalk on South Road, Paget, between the bend at the Southcote Road junction and Tribe Road #4b [the public access route to Elbow Beach].

“The concrete for the new sidewalk is expected to be poured on Monday 30th May,” a spokesperson said.

“As a result, a lane closure with temporary traffic light control will be required next Monday and Tuesday to allow for the concrete to settle enough to reopen to pedestrian traffic.

“The traffic control will result in traffic disruption particularly during peak commuting times and motorists are encouraged to allow more time for their journeys and use alternative routes where practicable.

“The Ministry apologizes for any inconvenience caused during these essential repair works.”
