Photos: U11 Team Win Celebrity Cricket Match

The Under 11 cricket team claimed victory in the Hiscox Celebrity Cricket Festival on Saturday [June 4], defeating an adult team to win the trophy.

With a final score of U11s 108 and celebrities 82, the youth players showed their prowess by defeating the adult team which included Governor George Fergusson, Power Girl, Premier Michael Dunkley, America’s Cup sailor Jimmy Spithill, Senator Jeff Baron, Minister Sylvan Richards, DJ Chubb, Minister Jeanne Atherden, MP Nandi Outerbridge, Nadanja Bailey and more.

The Celebrity of the Match was Team Oracle USA skipper Jimmy Spithill, the U11 Player of the Match was Donte Burgess from St. David’s CCC, the Celebrity Play of the Game was by Justin Freisenbruch for his one handed catch, while the U11 Play of the Game went to Rosie Simmons for bowling Powergirl for a duck.

The U11 all star team was listed as Samir Tavares-Place, Leule Simmons, Rosie Simmons, Chanz Goodwin, Jessie Debraga, Harry Twite, Dante Hayward, Jayden Correira, Toran Place, Eijaz Shakir, Keiaron Bean, Ajani Zuill, Kyon Place, Katherine Bean, Charlie Thompson, Omari DeShields, Michael DeSilva, Gregory Talbot, Kriston Adams, Nakejae Caines, Nathaniel Swan, Toby Freisenbruch, Riley Morbey, Aunde Todd, Keyan Webb, Juttore Burgess, Gianni Burgess, Adio Deshields, Sa-Qui Robinson, and Daente Burgess.

The Hiscox 11&U Celebrity Cricket Festival is designed to celebrate community based 11&under cricket and to raise money for the BCB youth programs.
