St. George’s Parish Council To Host Breakfast
The St. George’s Parish Council will be hosting a pre-Father’s Day Breakfast at St. David’s Primary School on Friday, June 17 starting at 8.00am.
A spokesperson said, “All fathers and father figures of the students at the school have been invited to attend to partake in some wholesome fellowship bringing father and child together in an atmosphere which allows them to appreciate each other and highlight the roles of their fathers.
“The St. George’s Parish Council has hosted this event in the past at the East End Primary School and in keeping with their mandate under section 5 [d] of the Parish Councils Act 1971 have decided to take their efforts out into the broader community and include St. David’s Primary this time round.
“The event has been well received by the school and we look forward to serving the students, their fathers and father figures a hearty breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, juice, water, fruit, coffee and tea.
“It is important to note that this event could not take place without the assistance of sponsors. We are pleased to announce that Dunkley’s Dairy, Butterfield & Vallis and John Barritt & Son Ltd have all enthusiastically pitched in to sponsor the event thus ensuring its success.
“We cannot emphasize enough the importance these sponsors play in ensuring that this event is a success. They are to be commended for their willingness to work with the St. George’s Parish Council which allows them to put on this event and bring about a spirit of community to which all benefit.
