Parris Wins Subway Player Of Game In Wolfville
Bermuda’s Ryan Parris — who plays for Acadia University’s Axemen Soccer Team — once again won the Subway Player of the Game in Wolfville, Nova Scotia on Sunday, October 16th.
The Axemen handed CIS No. 5 St. Francis Xaviar University X-Men’s first loss of the season. The Acadia University soccer team improved to 6-1-1 with a convincing hard fought 2-0 win, capping off Homecoming weekend at Acadia.
Axemen head coach Findlay MacRae pointed out that this week’s practice focused on several important aspects of possession and pressure. ”
We trained very hard all week in preparation knowing we wanted to dominate the ball in possession and work hard to get it back out of the possession”, pointed out MacRae. “Once we had possession we used it well to keep them under pressure.”
