Basketball League: Hamilton City, Warwick Win
Two games were played in the Bermuda Basketball Winter League sponsored by One inside the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium with a total of 268 points on the night.
Game 1 saw the Hamilton City Twisters defeat the Smith’s Court Kings 89- 58, the Hamilton City Twisters got 28 points from Darae Smith, he would also have 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots, while the Smith’s Court Kings were led by Jericho Tucker who had a game high 31 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots.
The second game of the night saw the Warwick Rimrockers defeat the Paget Flyboys 76 – 45. The Warwick Rimrockers were led to victory by Chris Horwood who had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, while the Paget Flyboys got 19 points from Akil Smith, who also had 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.
