Bermuda Netball Summer League Results
The Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League season resumed at the Bernard Park.
In the opener the Bermuda Under 19 team defeated the Bermuda Under 16 team 25 – 6. Nabiilah Nasir led the Bermuda Under 19 team with 10 goals, Keizhari Knight added 6 goals, Selah Tuzo scored 5 times and Kaamilah Nasir scored 4 goals. Coriah Simmons and Jade Johnston scored 2 goals each for the Bermuda Under 16 team, with Nisaiah Berkeley and Kemiyah Butterfield added a goal each.
Zariah Amory was named the Bermuda Under 19 team MVP, while Johnston and Elishe Smith were named the Bermuda Under 16 team MVP, Tuzo was the Under 19 team Attacker of the game, with Simmons the Under 16 team Best Attacker. Tia Burrows was the Under 19 team Best Defender, with Sienna Woolridge named the Under 16 team Best Defender.
The BAC Women in Blue defeated the BHB Angels 33 – 12, Nikita Trott would lead the BAC Women in Blue with 21 goals, while Darrika Simons added 12 goals, Charlene Bogle-Gomez scored 10 goals for the BHB Angels, with Territa Smith adding 2 goals.
The MVP for the BAC Women in Blue was Trott, while Smith was named the BHB Angels MVP, the BAC Women in Blue Best Attacker was Tahirah Butterfield, while Terita Smith was named the BHB Angels Best Attacker. The Best Defender for the BAC Women in Blue was Freida Dill, while BHB Angels Best Defender was Maxine Butterfield.
The New Kids on the Court edged PHC 16 – 14. The New Kids on the Court got 14 goals from Jaylyn Hines 14, with Joanna Heany and Rosey Graham added a goal each, Tinee Glasford, Tyra Simmons, Vernicka Symonds and Aaliyah Rasheed all scored 3 goals each for PHC.
Diara Benjamin was named the New Kids on the Court MVP, while Edonna Bean was the PHC MVP, the Best Attacker for the New Kids on the Court was Hines, while Jade Stewart was named the PHC MVP. Benjamin was named the Best Defender for the New Kids on the Court, with Edonna Bean named the PHC Best Defender.
