Photos: Clean Up In Orange Valley Road Area
A cleanup of the Orange Valley Road area in Devonshire took place last Saturday as a joint effort between Devonshire East MP Chris Famous and Butterfield & Vallis. The three-hour cleanup saw B&V supply staff and vehicles to help beautify the area, and local residents also chip in to help.
Good stuff!!!
Don’t look like no 2 Bermudas to me?!?! Vat ya been talkin bout Famous?!? Too many shots of titty milk…
Well done everyone! This is great to see that the area residents, along with a business in the area, have teamed up to clean up! It would be a welcome idea for every neighbourhood in every parish.
So will this become the norm under the PLP? W & E and Parks sit off while “community volunteers” do their jobs for them while our taxes and debt skyrocket???
Remember the ‘adopt a school’ scheme under the PLP when they realized the money was gone ?
Well we gave Americas Cup $77 Million and volunteered.
I didn’t want this cleanup on ESPN and I don’t think there were any paying tourists watching either??!! Someone been hittin’ de titty milk!!! Ha ha ha!!
We pay government to do this and yet we do it ourselves without pay that we already paid.
Vote em out.
Imagine if this was OBA asking people to clean up their neighborhood. Tweed, Famous, and crew would be telling the people not to do it. Funny how it’s expected of people now to clean up because PLP said to do so. 2 Bermuda’s is right. I have not seen Famous doing much clean up I guess he is doing what he does best which is nothing but talk a lot of
None sense. I will not be cleaning up anywhere in this island to help that party.
Keeping Bermuda beautiful and clean has never been political. Schools, community organizations, companies and neighborhood groups see a mess they organize a group or groups and they clean it up.
Sister Nancy your comment causes me concern. Are you really saying that in the next few years until the next election and possible change of leadership you would rather watch the island become a dump than help to keep it clean simply because the PLP are the current government?
So you only value Bermuda’s appearance based on who makes up the leadership of the government?
You only want Bermuda to look good and run well if the government is made up of people you deem worthy?
If another party come into power and people refuse to work with them to keep the island beautiful what will the contents of your comments be then?
Will you condemn those people or will you accept that they are just like you?
@Sister Nancy that is a very immature comment. It does not make a difference who is in power. No matter what party is in power. I see teamwork something that has been missing in Bermuda for years. Famous is a leader not a follower like many of you who always post negative comments. Plp nor Oba/Ubp run this country. Us as Bermudians need to realize this. Until you do. We will never get back to the island we once was. For example still talking about titty milk is another prime example. Remember we are not the only one who reads these blogs, so think before posting and start acting your age.
