Burglary At Vera P. Card Store In St. George’s
A police investigation is underway after a burglary at a St. George’s business on Saturday [May 11] resulted in a quantity of jewellery being stolen.
A police spokesperson said, “Thieves gained entry to the Vera P. Card store on Water Street in St. George’s around 3am Saturday, May 11th and stole a quantity of jewellery.
“The suspects, described as three males wearing dark coloured clothing, made good their escape on foot shortly after the burglary.
“An investigation into the incident is underway and witnesses or members of the public – particularly any passing motorists – that saw suspicious activity in the Water Street, York Street St. George’s area between 2:20am and 3am Saturday are encouraged to call Detective Constable Seymour Foote on 247-1154 or 717-2282.
“Alternatively, anyone with relevant information can provide it anonymously by calling the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
