Carifta 2020 Pep Rally Set For Tomorrow
The Carifta 2020 Committee will be hosting a Carifta 2020 Pep Rally tomorrow [Sept 6] at 12.30pm at City Hall.
A spokesperson said, “Our Carifta 2020 Pep Rally takes place tomorrow, Friday, September 6 at 12:30pm at City Hall, with the motorcade beginning at 12:00pm at Parson Road Playground.
Below is the schedule of events:
- 12:00pm – The motorcade will leave from Parsons Road Playground led by 3 Police Vehicles, left on Tills Hill [Court Street], Left on Church Street, Left on King Street, Left on Reid Street, Left on Queen Street right on Church Street to City Hall
- 12:30pm – The Carifta 2020 Pep Rally will be opened by the Town Crier Ed Christopher
- 12:40pm – The Acting Mayor of Hamilton Councillor John Harvey
- 1:00pm – Performance by the St. Georges Dancerettes
- 1:15pm – Donna Raynor, Chairperson Carifta 2020 to speak
- 1:25pm – Minister Lovitta Foggo, Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports to speak
- 1:40pm – Performance by the Bermuda Squad
- 2:00pm – Introduction of past and current Carifta athletes
- 2:15pm – Performance by the Gombeys – National group top dancers and drummers
“Throughout there will be a DJ playing. We will have a volunteer tent set up and we will have a give away tent set up.”
