Fresh Air Film Postponed To November 24th
The City of Hamilton’s Fresh Air Film series moves to North Hamilton as it presents a free screening of the box office smash, The Lion King, the 2019 live-action version of the classic animated blockbuster.
Originally scheduled for this weekend, the event has been postponed due to inclement weather. The new date is Sunday, November 24th at 4:00pm.
“Dundonald Street, at its junction with Court Street, will transform into an open air theatre complete with a movie screen erected in the street and seating area between Court and Princess Streets. The public is invited to bring their own chairs, don their best African-inspired attire and settle in as Uptown Fresh Air Films transports them to the plains of Africa,” a spokesperson said.
“Ashley’s Lemonade and Glam Pop will be on hand with movie snacks and the public is encouraged to patronize and support the local eateries in the neighbourhood. Free face painting will be offered as well as a fun castle, both will be located in the City park adjacent to the area. The most convenient parking can be found in the Elliott Street Car Park.
“Dundonald Street from Court Street to Princess Street will be closed from 10:00am-9:00pm to allow for the set-up, event duration and breakdown. There will be no street parking on Dundonald Street between Court Street and Parliament Street from 6:00am to 9:00pm.”
