Video: Island ‘Looks Forward To Welcoming You’
The Bermuda Tourism Authority has released a video aimed at reminding visitors that the island is as eager to re-open its tourism industry as they are to visit.
During the video, which highlights a number of the island’s sights and attractions, text says, “When the time is right, with the warmth, pride and hospitality of our people, Bermuda looks forward to welcoming you to her shores again.”
The video’s description says, “Just 21-square miles, out here in the middle of the ocean. 650 miles from the nearest neighbour. Bermuda has always been a precious resource. “Quo Fata Ferunt”. Whither the Fates Carry Us.
“It’s not just Bermuda’s motto, it’s a declaration of our island’s perseverance. We will get through this, and when the time is right, Bermuda looks forward to welcoming you to our shores again.”

Great video, good too see that the video is on Bermuda Tourism Authority and Bermuda Tourism Facebook pages. Too many times great Bermuda videos were only posted on BTA Facebook. It only takes seconds to compare the number of viewer’s the two Facebook pages reach. As of 12:00 noon today this video has 59 Likes, 2 Comments & 38 Shares on the BTA page; Bermuda Tourism page has over 1K Likes, 135 Comments, 467 Shares AND more than 17K Views.
Many of the ‘Comments’ on BT page are from previous visitors including some who have booked for later in the summer. Someone on the BT page replies to questions and comments. It is obvious, in all categories, the BT Facebook page is reaching more confirmed viewer’s than any other promotion/marketing scheme.
A link to BT Facebook should be on the Tourism website main page to take advantage of zero cost advertising.
Why has the BT Facebook page done a much better job of promoting Bermuda tourism with great videos and photos than BTA and the BTA consultants?? Is the BT Facebook page part of and managed by the BTA?
BT Facebook is perfectly suited for bringing Bermudaful videos and photos to viewer’s during and after Covid-19 times.
