Bermuda Marks School Counselling Week
Bermuda Public Schools are celebrating National School Counselling Week from February 2 to 6, 2026, highlighting the vital role counsellors play in student academic and career success.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Public Schools this week joined the American School Counsellor Association to celebrate National School Counselling Week [February 2 to 6].
“The annual celebration highlights the significant impact school counsellors can have in helping students achieve academic success and plan for their careers.
Education Officer, Counselling, Roshanda Caines said, “Our school counsellors are integral to student success, That is why we take a few days every year to recognise these hardworking professionals. Please take a moment to reach out to the counsellors at your child’s school and thank them for helping our students grow.”
A spokesperson said, “School counsellors are professionals with a master’s degree in school counselling or a related field and have completed a practicum and a supervised internship. Their training and experience make them an integral part of the overall educational program.
“The theme for this year’s celebration is “School Counsellors Amplify Student Success”.
