April 13: Floating Bookstore to Visit Bermuda

A ‘floating bookstore” will be docking in Bermuda next month, offering thousands of books for sale, tours and more. The ship, ‘Logos Hope’ [pictured below] will be docked on Front Street and open to the public from April 13th to April 25th. The all volunteer crew compromises of crew from over 40 countries worldwide.

The ship is a project of Operation Mobilisation [OM], an Evangelical Christian organization founded by George Verwer. Since 1970, OM’s ships have visited over 480 different ports in 158 countries and territories around the globe. Over 40 million people have visited the ship with an average of 1 million visitors welcomed on board every year.

The Logos Hope holds up to 1,000 visitors at any time, with capacity to host an additional 700 in the Hope Theatre and Logos Lounge. Over 400 people work, eat and live on board – all of them volunteers.
