Bermuda Cricket Squad for African Tour Announced
The Bermuda Cricket Board have announced the squad which will take part in the ICC I-shield Tournament Tour, Bermuda vs. Namibia. The tour will take place from March 23 to April 12 2010.
The final decision on Bermuda’s 14 strong squad was made post Saturday’s trial match at Warren Simmons Field in Somerset. St. David’s all-rounder O.J. Pitcher, whom the cricket board had hoped to include in the squad, was unavailable for the tour due to personal reasons.

Chairman of the Selection Committee Mr. Lionel Thomas stated:
The team selection was based on attendance, ability and availability. We know it is not our strongest team due to withdrawals for personal reasons from some players and school commitments, but we are cautiously optimistic that the team selected will equip themselves admirably.

President Mr. Reginald Pearman stated:
I am pleased to be able to confirm that David Moore has received his work permit and hopes to be able to join the team for the tour. I know the boys have been putting their all into training and I am confident they will do their best.
