Terryne Fray wins Junior Athlete Sponsorship
One of Bermuda’s best young cricketers has been awarded a National Junior Athlete Sponsorship Award to attend Gary Palmer’s Cricket Academy in the United Kingdom, starting in June 2010.
Terryne Fray is currently Captain of the National U19s and a National Senior Team player who plays for Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club.
The Academy’s aim is to give players the best quality coaching from leading experts in the game including the opportunity to be coached within match situations. The Academy combines world-class psychology with world-class technical coaching in a practical way, which makes a huge difference in how players perform under pressure and how they deal with stress.
Mr. Reginald Pearman, President of the BCB stated:
On behalf of the Board I would like to congratulate Terryne on winning a National Junior Elite Sponsorship Award. Terryn is a talented player and an exceptional role model who I know will make the most of this opportunity.
I am also pleased to announce that Terryne has been given a conditional place at the University of Cardiff, Wales – one of the University Centres of Cricketing Excellence (UCCE), where we hope he will follow in the footsteps of Stephen Outerbridge, Jekon Edness and Stefan Kelly. Terryne, are you the son of Terry and Kendaree?
If yes, my wife and I rented (57 Sleepyhollow Dr) from your mom and dad from 1989-1991 while working at the US Naval Air Station.
As stated above you are one GREAT Cricket player and your family must be very proud of you and your accomplishments.
We still live in Grafton, Va.
Fully retired in 2000.
I checked your dads name first and found a Terry Fray on a list of Goverment people.
I then checked your moms name and found she could be a Tax Inspector.
We moved out of the main house when your mom found out she was pregant with you.
We enjoyed your mom and dads friendship. Also how your dad babied his Black car. Does he still have it????
Please pass onto your folks you Hello and hope you all have a save and Merry/Happy Holiday Season.
