Bermuda Hogges Earn Third Win Of The Season
The Bermuda Hogges Football Club got off to a good start on their three game road trip when they defeated the Hampton Roads Piranhas 2-1.
The Piranhas took the early lead in the 3rd minute of play when they scored to lead 1-nil. 11 minutes later [in the 14th minute] Keishen Bean [pictured] scored the equalizer after receiving a diagonal pass from Darius Cox. Still in the first half, Hogges took the lead for good thanks to Nahki Wells finding the back of the next to put the Hogges ahead 2-1. Once again, Darius Cox played the diagonal pass to allow Mr Wells to score. Mr Bean has scored in both the Hogges previous victories, and Mr Wells also scored in the Hogges second win.
This is the third win for this young team in the PDL division, with two of those victories coming on the road, with one at home.
The Hogges will now prepare for their second road game of the series when they play Reading United AC, in Reading Pennsylvania, tonight [July 4th]. These two teams met early in the season, with the Hogges coming away with 1 draw and 1 loss at the BAA field.
