BELCO Load Shed: Lights Out For 90 Mins
Over 5,000 locals found themselves without power this afternoon after two East End BELCO Power Station engines experienced problems. BELCO Operations Centre shed load on 17 circuits at approximately 4:30 pm this afternoon [Aug 24] affecting over 5,000 customers in both the East and West. BELCO immediately set to work to fix the issue, and had 15 circuits restored by 5:44pm, and by 5:56 PM, all engines were returned to service and all circuits restored to service.
