Entrepreneurs: Win Five Free Tickets To UK

August 25, 2010

British Airways in partnership with the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation (BSBDC) and its Economic Empowerment Zones Agency (EEZA) will be giving away five free tickets to the UK.

In an effort to give entrepreneurs, business owners and social enterprises an opportunity to take their organisations to the next level, British Airways is pleased to offer the chance to win 1 of 5 free round trip airline tickets to the UK in November 2010.

Entering is simple. Applicants and businesses are asked to submit an essay of between 250 and 500 words explaining how a face-to-face meeting in the UK would help their business in Bermuda. The submission should also include who or what organisation you would like to meet in the UK.

Submissions will be judged on four criteria (i) the company’s specific goals and objectives; (ii) a clear vision of how the travel opportunity will benefit Bermuda and the company; (iii) what specific business objective can be gained by face to face meetings rather than remote communications; and (iv) the entrepreneur’s articulation and style.

Applications that focus on social responsibility, environment sustainability and the development of youth are encouraged.

Through their participation in this contest Bermudian entrepreneurs and Permanent Resident Certificate holders will also have the opportunity to be involved in Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Global Entrepreneurship Week (15 – 21 November) is a worldwide initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity, with participation from countries across six continents.
