Gosling’s Continues CADA Sponsorship
CADA, Encouraging Responsible Alcohol Behavior, today [Sept 8] announced that Gosling’s Limited will continue to sponsor the late night ‘Let Us Drive’ service.
CADA Chairman, Mr. Anthony Santucci thanked Gosling’s for their continued support, “I am pleased to announce today that Gosling’s Limited has agreed to sponsor this important, life-saving service for the third consecutive year. Their generous support is deeply appreciated.”
Mr. Charles Gosling stated, “We have seen the value of this service since its inception and are pleased to continue our support of the work CADA is doing to help ensure the residents of Bermuda don’t drink and drive. This is an important initiative that provides people with a way to get home safely in the early hours of the morning.”
Mr Gosling is pictured below handing Mr Santucci a check for $10,000:
Mr. Santucci concluded, “With the on-going support of Gosling’s Limited and our other corporate sponsors, we have taken home almost 4,500 people in the past three and a half years. It is impossible to tell how many lives have been saved since the service began in May 2007 but together with our sponsors we will continue to provide an alternative to drinking and driving.”
Let Us Drive is a free transportation service which operates every Friday night between 3:15am and 3:45am outside of the LOM Building on Reid Street. The service uses taxis which are provided free of charge for those needing to get home safely without drinking and driving. For more information, visit cada.bm
Gosling’s is a great corporate citizen but the walk to the taxi is to long and dangerous especially for woman. Why not on Front St where all the action is ??
