Man Charged in Attack, Victim Flown Out
25-year-old Aaron Eversley appeared in Magistrates Court yesterday [Sept 14] charged in connection with the alleged assault of 33-year-old Christopher Vonhassell with a blunt object around 7:30am on Monday, September 13th. The incident is said to have occurred at Mr Vonhassell’s home in Margarita Lane, Devonshire following a dispute.
The victim was treated in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital before being flown to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for further medical care just past midnight yesterday. Mr. Vonhassell, a father-of-two, is said to be doing fairly well and scheduled to be released from hospital today.
Mr Eversley was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in Supreme Court, and was granted bail.
