Photos: Three Vehicle Crash Outside Aquarium
At approximately 11am this morning [Sept 4] there was an accident involving three vehicles on North Shore just outside the Aquarium. The first vehicle was a truck, followed by a van and then a private car.
The scene appeared to indicate there were no serious injuries, however we have limited information as we had to rush from the scene to cover the man being arrested in a shoreline cave. We hope to obtain official information on this accident from the Police later today, and will update as able.

Update Sept 6th: Official information from the Police
Around 11am on Saturday, Police received a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish in the vicinity of the Bermuda Aquarium Museum & Zoo involving three vehicles.
It appears that the three vehicles (a truck, van and car) were traveling east on North Shore Road when the truck came to a stop. The van stopped behind the truck; however the car was unable to stop in time. As a result, all three vehicles collided.
The driver of the truck, a 38 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. The driver of the van, a 70 year old St. George’s man and his passenger, a 62 year old St. George’s woman, apparently suffered chest pain and injuries to their legs. Both were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The van driver was later discharged.
At last check the 62 year old St. George’s woman was still at the hospital; however, her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the car, a 38 year old St. George’s woman, was also uninjured. The truck received relatively minor rear end damage; the van received extensive front and rear end damage while the car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
