Premier Becomes Lifetime BTFA Member
Premier Dr Ewart Brown presented a check for $1000 for Life Membership to the Bermuda Track and Field Association to BTFA President Donna Watson yesterday (Sept 28).
The Premier, a former Commonwealth Games athlete said, “My commitment to the development of our youth through sports is unswerving. I am pleased to be able to display that commitment through becoming a Life Member of the Bermuda Track and Field Association. This is not merely a symbolic gesture as I intend to play a role with the BTFA after I leave office in helping to develop strong, determined Bermudian athletes of character.”
Ms. Watson who presented the Premier with a BTFA track suit said, “We are very happy for the Premier’s support and gladly accept his application for Life Membership. This will allow the Premier access to all BTFA events and enable him to receive accreditation for local or regional track and field events.”
