Tourists Robbed By Weapon-Wielding Man
Yesterday [Aug 31] a visiting couple had their vacation marred by a criminal who gained entry to their guest room, wielded what the Police term a “bladed article”, and robbed the couple of money.
At 1:15am yesterday morning Police received a report of a burglary at a Smith’s parish guest property. According to Police, it appears that the suspect “brandishing what appeared to be a bladed article gained entry” into the couple’s room. The intruder demanded money and removed a quantity of cash before escaping. Fortunately, the visitors were not injured.
The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 6’3” tall of slim build wearing black clothing.
The Police say that inquiries into this incident are underway, and are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.
