That is a lot of contraband.
At what point will we see a photo of this individual?
Yes, sorry about that. We will try again on her next appearance. We had someone there today in our full-fledged-Paparazzi-stalker-mode, but he missed the shot.
It can get sticky as its sometimes not clear what exit they will use, sometimes the prison van gets so close to the door its hard to get the shot etc. It was one of those days where we failed. Will definetly not fail next time. Not sure, but I think ZBM, Sun or the RG may have gotten it.
He missed the shot?! Isn’t it ironic that Bermudians” shots are never missed! *smh*
Hi Ms Cooper, either you or we are very confused.
Obviously we have also missed Bermudians shots, as is evident to any of our regular readers.
Some court posts dont contain pics indicating we failed to get the pic, and some contain pics with only a jacket covering their head – no face.
Happens to all media outlets at times due to the complexities of getting a pic when some people specifically do *not* want their photo taken and are strongly acting to avoid it.
Or, perhaps we were confused – and it was a play on “shot” – as in shootings. We are trying to stop using that word so much, as these days it really isn’t the best word at times, sad to say.
@Bernews: No, it was I! Obviously you have missed pix/photos of others…I stand corrected and take it back! Keep up the good work!
“Never” Donna? Really? SMH at your generalization and insinuation. Some photos get missed, it happens, get over it.
RME, who died and made you king or queen?! Get over what?! Why don’t you get over yourself…
Another bites the dust!!!
I suppose in due course we will hear the usual tale that she came from a broken home, desperate for money or was threatened if she didnt deliver this junk.
It probably ain’t even dat much. When ya get caught in Bermy guys multiply the amount and the prices for Bermy prices haha so they can charge ya for de most you can get. Get ya for every .1 dem guys can. Canadian prices would have halved dat der.
Your joke (bad as it was) doesn’t hold water because the Canadian dollar is almost on par with the BDA$/US$. It’s not 65 cents tot eh dollar anymore mate.
@ RME
bdashotta was talking about the fact they what you can buy $35 dollars in Canada would cost $70 here. Not the difference in value between the two currencies. The price of drugs in Bermuda is in fact more than double the price in Canada. I have no used an illegal drug before in my life… I still keep my ears low to the ground.
of course the price is going to be higher here… everything goes through customs to get here… whereas in the states/canada it can be just made there and driven elsewhere in the country..
the fact of hte matter is, of course they will up the price to bermuda prices because that’s what htey would sell for??? why on earth would they charge someone for hte street value from where it came from?
and the opinion of “ain’t even dat much” is relative to location, just as price is. if i see 1 lb of weed in the states i say it “aint dat much”, but if i see 1 lb here my jaw drops.
@ Scott ya course the price high here..because guys CAN charge that much. where else guys gonna get it from?? my original point was that since we only see the amount in bermuda dollars it prolly aint even that much quantity wise. ya jaw would still drop if you saw 1 lb of herb in states.
@D – thanks for the clarification. I stand corrected. I misinterpreted it. Like you, I have no idea what the going rate is for drugs here or in Canada for that matter.
The success rate for importation cant be that high when trying to bring it in via the airlines and although the gamble is great so is the punishment.
Who was she bringing it in for??????
the success rate for drugs being imported is very high, even if drugs are intercepted at the airport 9/10 they will end up on the street regardless. The only failure after more than 50 years is the prohibition of drugs altogether.
