Photos & Results: 2010 Bermuda Cricket Awards
The best of the best came out last night (Oct 23) as the Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) held their Prize Presentation at the National Sports Centre Pavilion last night. Prize winners included Rodney Trott, OJ Pitcher, Joshua Gilbert, Oscar Andrade, Clevie Wade, Ray Butterfield, Jeffrey Tyrell, Donnie Charles, Rudell Pitcher, Irving Romaine, Jason Anderson, and Quinton Burch.
Rodney Trott from Young Men’s Social Club won the MVP Award for the First Division. Mr Trott also won the Best Batting Average Award for the First Division, with an average of 63.50.
17-year-old Berekey Institute Student Joshua Gilbert from the Somerset Cricket Club was named the Young Player of the Year:
Oscar Andrade was voted Umpire of the Year:
Additional First Division Awards were:
- OJ Pitcher from the St. David’s Cricket Club was named the Most Valuable Player
- Clevie Wade from PHC was voted Coach of the Year
- Ray Butterfield from Western Stars picked up the Groundsman of the Year Award.
- Jeffrey Tyrell from Young Men’s Social Club won the Best Bowling Average – 7.75 (16 Wickets / 124 Runs)
- Donnie Charles from Somerset Bridge won the Award for Most Runs -285 Runs
- Rudell Pitcher from St. George’s Cricket Club won the Award for Most Wickets – 30 Wickets
First Division Champion awards were:
- 1st Place – St. George’s Cricket Club
- 2nd Place – Young Men Social Club
- 3rd Place – Western Stars
Additional Premier Division Awards were:
- Irving Romaine from Bailey’s Bay won Best Batting Average – 58.25
- OJ Pitcher from St. David’s Cricket Club won Best Bowling Average – 10.50 (16 Wickets / 168 Runs)
- Jason Anderson from PHC won for Most Runs – 418 Runs
- Quinton Burch from Southampton Rangers won for Most Wickets – 24 Wickets
Premier Division Champion awards were:
- 1st Place – Southampton Rangers
- 2nd Place – Bailey’s Bay
- 3rd Place – PHC
