“George delivered a devastating spell of bowling in the rain affected match against Somerset on June 11th. In his allocated 4 overs, he took 4 wickets for just 18 runs ripping out the middle order of SCC. His bowling ensured that Somerset could only muster 89 runs which were easily obtained by the St. David’s batsman in 10 overs.
“The One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Charles Trott of PHC. Charles produced a heroic all-round performance in the One Communications First Division match against Warwick. In a match reduced to 20 overs each due to rain Charles bowled 4 overs for just 2 runs including 3 maidens.
“This opening spell was pivotal in restricting Warwick to just 105 runs. Charles then opened the batting for PHC and steered them to victory in 14 overs scoring 34 not out.
“The awards are the result of a partnership between One Communications and BCB working to strengthen camaraderie and a family atmosphere through sports and communications.”
