Stovell & Charles Win Cricket Player Of Week
One Communications and the Bermuda Cricket Board have announced that the One Communications Premier Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Dion Stovell of Southampton Rangers, while the One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Donnie Charles of Somerset Bridge Recreation Club.
A spokesperson said, “One Communications and the BCB are pleased to announce that the One Communications Premier Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Dion Stovell of Southampton Rangers. In the match against Somerset CC Dion dominated the Rangers batting scoring 106 runs out of their total of 191. Dion’s century contained 14 fours and 2 sixes. Dion then bowled 7 overs taking 2 wickets for 20 runs to complete an outstanding all-round performance.
“The One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Donnie Charles of Somerset Bridge Recreation Club. In the game against Warwick Workmen’s Club Donnie took 3 crucial wickets for just 32 runs helping to restrict his opposition to just 197. Donnie then steered his team to victory with a blistering unbeaten 76 runs off only 38 balls. His innings contained 10 fours and 4 sixes guiding Somerset Bridge to a comfortable 7 wicket victory.“
