Steve Pettit, the Georgetown District High Coach, said “We are looking for this to be a unique educational experience, it gives us an opportunity to meet some new people and learn a little different culture. Our season has not started yet so we are undefeated, we are looking to put together a system that will carry us through our regular season.”

Deshawn Henry from Durango High said, “We just started training about a week, so we are also undefeated, but we are looking for some good competition while we are here, we have seen some of the Bermuda players play when they came to the Durango Classic over the past two years so we know that the Bermuda players have talent and we are just looking forward to the battle.”

Ennis Wesley from Chaparral High said, “I just think that the players will enjoy this phenomenal opportunity to play in a place like Bermuda, we are just getting together as well so we will be using this tournament as Pre-Season training.”

Srdjan Bosnjak co-captain of Durango said, “We are hoping to build team chemistry on during this tournament, as we prepare for the season.” Durango’s other co-captain Greg Gentry said, “I Vegas teams like to get up and down the floor at a quick pace, so people can expect to see a fast pace and bodies flying all over the place.”

Spencer Kardash co-captain of the Georgetown District High said, “In our district we tend to slow the game down and control the tempo, so I am not expecting too much difference, with our average height of 6’3 we feel we can come out strong.” Devonte White the other co-captain of the Georgetown District High said, “we are really looking forward to entertaining the crowd that comes out, as we prepare for the upcoming season.”
