39-Yr-Old Man Dies In Traffic Accident

A 39 year old Sandys parish man died this morning following a traffic accident on Harbour Road.

Around 1:45am this morning [Dec 11] Police and first responders attended a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road.

The Police say that it appears that a taxi was exiting Newstead hotel and a motorcycle was traveling along Harbour Road when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 39 year old Sandys parish man, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance; however he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The taxi driver was not injured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact Inspector Phil Lewis on 295-0011. The Police say that no further information will be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Update 2pm: Police name victim as Kirk Simons.

9. 23 yr old Dareiko Simons died on Jan 9 after his bike collided with a car in Sandys
10. 21 yr old Earl Ingemann died after a Jan 1st car crash, man arrested & charged in connection
