Players Invited to National BBall Team Tryouts
Over 30 players have been invited to try out for the Bermuda Men’s National Basketball Team. “2011 looks to be a very busy and exciting year for the team. The tryouts are scheduled for this coming Tuesday (Jan 4) from 5:30pm – 8:00pm at Saltus Gym.
We hope to defend our Gold Medal at the 2011 Island Games and also compete at the 2011 CBC Tournament. I have also been approached by a couple of groups interested in having us play in Canada, Caribbean and the USA based on funding,” said Head Coach Roderick Spencer. “The first tryout will help to establish some of the rules and standards the players will be evaluated on and provide a frame work for all the following tryouts,” continued Spemcer.
