High Winds Delay Two Flights
Both American Airlines New York [#1443] and Miami [#1325] flights were delayed this morning [Jan 23] due to the high winds. Gusts of up 55 knots were recorded at the airport this morning and the Bermuda Weather Service said gale force winds are forecast to continue throughout the day.
For today’s forecast the Bermuda Weather Service said: “A vigorous low pressure system brings gale to storm force winds with hurricane force gusts this morning. Conditions become drier by afternoon, but the gales will continue until evening.”
