ICC Officer Andrew Pick to Visit Bermuda

January 18, 2011

ICC High Performance Officer Andrew (Andy) Pick will be visiting Bermuda January 19 – 24, 2011 to work with Bermuda’s National Teams. Mr Pick is responsible for the management, planning and implementation of a range of programmes aimed at assisting the continued growth, development and improvement of cricket within the 17 Member Countries of the ICC Americas Region. He is a former England A team player and a specialist fast bowling coach.

Bermuda National Cricket Coach David Moore said: “It is great to welcome Andy back to Bermuda to continue the quality work that he started his last visit. Those bowlers that had the benefit of his expertise last trip have improved and will work on variations such as change of pace, over and around the wicket and lines and lengths. Bowlers who have not had an opportunity to work with Andy will work closely on their technique to improve consistency and to endeavour to prevent injury.”

“The timing of this trip is ideal as it will allow our U19 bowlers to receive expert coaching prior to the U19 qualifying tournament in Florida next month, while the National squad members will be able to work on identified deficiencies for improvement leading to the Division 2 qualifiers in Dubai. There should also be opportunities for our U15, U13, Women’s team and Girls Development squad to gain exposure during Andy’s visit.”
