  1. Ammerjean Raynor says:

He should have done that from the beginning, wasting tax payers money.

    • Um Juss Sayin says:

and now he’s only gonna waste more of it sitting up at Wesgate

  2. TIRED says:

I HOPE HE GETS THE MAX SENTENCE EVER HANDED OUT IN BERMUDA.. AND THEY BEAT HIS A$$…. SMH…. THIS BETTER NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY

  3. KR says:

I hope they NEVER EVER let him out. He deserves to ROT.

  4. Uncle Ruckus says:

What a psycho. He needs life, as in his sentence reads out LIFE. He gets out when he’s dead and the only place he is going after that is 6 feet under followed by hell.

  5. Anna says:

    Sad.

  6. Yng Black Mind says:

I believe he should be put to death – - if not, he will get life (25 years) and serve 3 quarters of the sentence which equals less than 10 years – twelve if we are lucky. That is not enough. He does not need to see his children again and I personally do not want to spend my tax payer dollars to feed, clothe and house him – plain and simple.

    • rubber bong says:

Sorry but I have to call this one lol!!! If half (50%) of 25 is 12.5, how can 3 quarters (75%) be less than 10 years?

      LOL I’m sorry but I’m just saying…

      • Yng Black Mind says:

@RB – - yes, very true – - it was written as such to highlight the problem with the justice system – - I was well aware that the numbers didn’t add up (didn’t like Math; however, I can count lol).

The truth in all this is simple – - he will not get the total amount of time handed down – -he does not deserve to live.

  7. Call as it is says:

    Bring back the rope!
let him do the final dance…
If you cannot find a Hangman,I’ll do the job and have a steak dinner afterwards!

  8. Terry says:

He needs to get life with 45 years before being eligible for parole! We need to bring back the death penalty. This guy sits at Westgate like he did nothing wrong, Deroza was a young lady that had a bright future ahead of her. How can you just murder the mother of your child because she no longer wants to be with you! Bermuda wake up…put these guys to sleep!

  9. junior burchall says:

the death penalty will not be making a return to our shores. the ‘old’ country has deemed it to be cruel, savage and backward and totally out of step with the times… but, if we really want to reclaim our ‘right’ to legally murder our people, i would humbly suggest that we seriously consider moving toward independence.

barring that, i am hopeful that jermaine will receive a sentence that is reflective of the gravity of the crime that he committed. he should see at least 35 years behind bars (similar to the sentence handed down in the ze selassie case) before he even has the chance to explore the possibility of parole.

    • UncleElvis says:

      Really?

One of the “Pro”s of Independence is “to reclaim our ‘right’ to legally murder our people”?

I hope you’re not being serious.

The death penalty was debated here, found lacking, as it has in many, MANY places, and thrown out, as it should be.

Steeper sentences are needed, yes. Taking away parole? Absolutely!

But there is NO reason in justice to take someone’s life.
In vengeance, sure. But not in justice.

  10. HANG HIS F&%$#N A%$

  11. Copy Cat says:

Hanging him would just set him free… Behind bars will kill him from the inside as his consciousness would allow him to have flashbacks of his actions… He may want to kill himself in the end…
