Man Injured After Confronting Bike Thieves
A 32 year old man was injured yesterday [Jan 16] after confronting two men trying to steal his motorcycle.
A Police spokesman said: “Around 4:40am on Sunday, Police responded to a reported assault at a Hillsdale, Smith’s parish residence. It appears that around 4:20am that day the victim a 32 year old Smith’s parish man confronted two unknown men who were apparently attempting to remove his motorcycle from outside the home.”
“The victim was assaulted by the suspects before they left the scene on a motorcycle apparently empty handed. The Smith’s parish man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.”
“Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.”
