Police Report: Three Burglaries on Friday
The Police have reported three burglaries on Friday [Jan 21], and said that in two of the burglaries it appears nothing was taken.
Around 7pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Harbour Road, Paget residence. It appears that sometime between 2:50pm and 6:45pm that day, a culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied; however apparently nothing was taken.
Around 6:25pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Lighthouse Lane, Southampton residence. It appears that sometime between 2:45pm and 6:10pm that day, a culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied and stole a quantity of jewelry.
Around 1:05pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, Smith’s parish residence. It appears that sometime between 10:15am and 1:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied; however apparently nothing was taken.
Inquiries into all incidents are underway. The Police advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries, saying that “All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Also, before retiring to bed at night all windows & doors should be locked with any valuables secured out of sight. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.”
