Rebecca Sharpe Places 3rd in Ontario Meet
Bermudian swimmer Rebecca Sharpe placed 3rd in the Female Open 200 Backstroke Short Course Finals with a time of 2:29.67, and her University of Toronto Women’s Swimming team walked away with the victory, topping McMaster in Ontario, Canada
Toronto’s women defeated their counterparts 104-73, with Ms Sharpe competing in two events. In addition to her 3rd place finish in the 200mBbackstroke, she also finished 5th in the Female Open 100 Backstroke Short Course Finals clocking a time of 1:10.31.
“I was quite pleased with the outcome of the McMaster meet,” said head coach Byron MacDonald. “I expected the meet to be much closer but our swimmers looked very sharp for early January swimming.”
