Bermuda On Agenda At AIFA Conference
The state of the island’s re/insurance sector will be discussed in Florida on Monday [Feb.28] when some of the leading Bermuda industry players participate in a forum at the Association of Insurance & Financial Analysts [AIFA] 36th Annual Conference in Naples.
The Bermuda panel is expected to feature Endurance chief actuary and CRO Make Angelina, Alterra president Marty Becker and Validus president and CFO Joseph E. (Jeff) Consolino among other speakers. The discussion will be moderated by JP Morgan analyst Matt Heimermann.
Being held from February 27-March at the Naples Grande Resort, the AIFA meeting will draw a large contingent from Bermuda’s international business community. Re/insurance firms either based here or with a strong Bermuda presence including Allied World, Arch Capital, Aspen, PartnerRe and XL are all sending representatives.
AIFA says its mission is to provide a forum to address the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the property & casualty insurance, life insurance, reinsurance, and insurance brokerage industries. AIFA is a non-profit spin-off of the New York Society of Securities Analysts focussing on the insurance sector.
