Bermuda Results: Bowling Champs in Malaysia
Damien Matthews, Patrice Tucker and June Dill are representing Bermuda in the 2011 Commonwealth Bowling Championships in Malaysia.
A total of 12 countries took part in the march past, namely Australia, Bermuda, Brunei, England, India, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa and host Malaysia. Malta was the 13th country in the championship and arrived later in the evening.
In the first day of competition, Damien Matthews competed in the Men’s Division. An overall Pin score of 1100 saw Mr Matthews finish 24th, after bowling a 204, 177, 157, 175, 185 and 202.
Patrice Tucker and June Dill both took to the lanes in the Women’s Division. Ms Dill bowled a 998 to finish 19th, with frames of 158, 157, 155, 172, 158 and 198, while Ms Tucker finished 25th with an overall score of 936. Ms Tucker bowled a 118, 180, 160, 154, 148 and a 176.
The compeition concludes at the end of the week.
