Police Report Three Burglaries on Sunday
Early yesterday morning [Feb 6] a burglar fled a Pembroke residence after being confronted the the occupant. The burglar managed to steal cash before fleeing, however no one was injured. The suspect is described as a light skinned male of small build, approximately 5’ to 5’5” tall wearing a white T-shirt and black long pants.
A Police spokesman said: “At 9:50am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Uppington Crescent, Pembroke residence. It appears that around 1am that day an occupant of the home was awoken by an intruder. The burglar fled the scene on foot when confronted. A quantity of cash was taken. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a light skinned male of small build, approximately 5’ to 5’5” tall wearing a white T-shirt and black long pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
Yesterday Police also received a report of a burglary at a Church Street, Pembroke business, about which they said “It appears that sometime earlier an unknown culprit gained entry into the shoe store and stole a quantity of cash.”
Police also received a report of a burglary at a Euclid Avenue, Pembroke residence, in which it appears that sometime between 7pm on Saturday and 6:15am on Sunday someone gained entry into the home and stole a quantity of cash.
Police inquiries into these incident ares underway. The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
