ICC Cricket: Bermuda Beat Hong Kong
[Updated with photos and video] Bermuda’s second game of the ICC World Cricket League Division Two Tournament in Dubai saw them beat Hong Kong by 69 runs. Final Score: Bermuda 242/7 Hong Kong 173
Bermuda won the toss and elected to bat first, in their allotted 50 overs Bermuda scored 242/7, with Jason Anderson the top scorer with 106 not out. Anderson entered the game in the third over and batted throughout facing 137 for his century.
Anderson hit nine fours and three sixes in his innings, while Lionel Cann scored 50 from 35, hitting four fours and two sixes and David Hemp added 36.
In reply Hong Kong were bowled all out for 173, captain Najeeb Amar was the top scorer with 49, while opener Roy Lamsam added 40, Rodney Trott was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures of 7.3-0-22-3, while Dion Stovell bowled 6-0-25-3, Damali Bell grabbed two wickets, while Stefan Kelly and Delyone Borden took a wicket each.
